That chap I mentioned who comes here on occasion, scribbling away and drinking coffee . . . well, I found a little book he left in the corner booth. But it’s not a story. It’s a journal.
Well done, Serl, my good man. Many thanks from all us travelers. I’ll take it from here.
Remember what he said about fiction and reality blending? I thought a virtual host was fitting for a virtual coffeehouse. Now I take the baton and we break the illusion. In contemplating this blog for the past few years, I’ve wrestled with content and presentation. How to strike a balance of simplicity and depth. How to make something unique yet familiar. Along the way, I realized this project is as much about you as me.
The first post is introductory from launch day. Thereafter, I get into a journal I’ve kept for many years. Starting from the beginning, selected entries are shown, followed by present day reflections. Then comes my favorite part, your comments. The idea of it all being to start conversations with you and grow in our understanding and appreciation of the journey–yours and mine.
